We are Miranda, Jay, & Aaron
your adventure guides.
Jay and Miranda started their company at the beginning of 2018 and haven’t looked back. Their similar styles, personalities, and view of life brought them together and it’s only gotten better since the beginning. Focusing solely on just photography the first couple years, we decided it was time to expand and bring in our videographer, Aaron; offering more for you! While the three of us come from different walks of life and backgrounds, we've found ourselves having the common goal of wanting to document and tell your stories. As a team we’ve determined we each have different strengths that allow new and meaningful perspectives through photography as well as film. We are LGBTQ friendly and we strive to make every kind of human feel comfortable when shooting with us.
Outside of Wild Sage the three of us LOVEEEE to travel, immerse ourselves in new environments, hike, camp, discover new food and breweries, and above all, take photos.

My journey that led me to where I am today started back in Kansas City. I’ve been obsessed with taking photos since I was young but had received my first big girl camera when I turned 16. After practically running out to Colorado as soon as I turned 18, I realized that I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. After two years of trying to discover my purpose, I finally landed on photography. I received my Bachelor’s in Digital Photography and have been on this wild ride ever since. I have dabbled in all sorts of photography; fashion, commercial, architecture, you name it, but have found a fondness for engagements and weddings. Maybe it’s the hopeless romantic in me (no, it definitely is), but being able to be there for the start of forever and stamp that moment in time for you is so exciting. The number of people I have met because of photography is astounding and I cannot wait to meet more of you amazing humans. I have found my way back to Kansas City after 12 years out in Colorado, and I am so happy to be here!!
Along with photography, I am a HUGE sports fan, I love the mountains (duh), and I’m obsessed with travel. I have so many places on my bucket list, so if you need an adventure for your photoshoot, you know where to find me!

I often find myself laughing blankly at the question of “How long have you been a photographer”. It feels like ages since the first moment I’ve discovered my passion, yet somehow I forgot how many years its been…it continues to be a thrill to look back on who I was as a person and a photographer, to who I am now.
First and foremost, I am an artist. Aside from documenting important moments in life, I photograph people and try with everything in my introvert soul to allow them to feel comfortable and open to be authentically as they are, as I do with them. Being able to capture emotion and the beauty of an individual is a gift in which I aspire to have. My work is often energetic, emotional, and I tend to adventure towards the unique perspectives, so if capturing a photograph means getting into a river or lake to get the shot then I will do it (so long as my life isn’t entirely at risk).
I am OBSESSED with this craft. I can’t stop viewing and making art. There is nothing like capturing a photograph on a film camera, forgetting what was captured and watching the film develop the memory in a dark chemical filled room. I fell in love. It was only the beginning of my photographic journey when I applied to the Art Institute of Colorado to receive my BA. After endless amounts of work, I finally understood what my passions were, travel and people, through and through.

Curiosity has always been the driving force behind my inspirations. I have always found myself pondering why things work, and how I can analyze their inner workings. Unlike Jay and Miranda, my education and career has not always been in fine art, photography or videography. For the last 6 years my profession has been heavy equipment mechanics. Not having a traditional artistic education is what I believe gives me a different perspective with film. Having been surrounded by an environment that puts the details first, I find the smaller details in a wedding or moment worth being remembered along with the grand ones.
Aviation has always fascinated me for as long as I can remember, so capturing footage by drone is one of my favorite ways to document. Having the ability to film from the air as well as by foot gives me the ability to create unique perspectives.
I look forward to working with new clients, capturing their beautiful and intimate moments from the outstandingly beautiful locations we have in Colorado and across the US.
