Megan Cannon

Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground
— Teddy Roosevelt

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Megan for her senior photos down at Union Station in Denver. Let me tell you, Union Station during the holidays is a really wonderful place, which is exactly why I suggested to Megan and her mother Pam that we shoot there first. I’ve known Pam for quite a while now and I am so happy she chose me to photograph her daughter. Megan is a senior in high school who is an absolute star in theater, so putting her in front of a camera was a piece of cake. As some of you may know, having your photo taken isn’t always easy. It can be awkward and uncomfortable but Megan was a natural, even as she made jokes about how awkward it was (especially being at Union Station in front of so many bystanders). After we finished up there, we headed over to the Dairy Block, Denver’s newest marketplace (if you haven’t had a chance to visit, you most definitely should). We were blessed with great weather and perfect lighting. If I could choose to do this shoot again, I would one-hundred times over. Sending so much love to Megan as she finishes up her senior year. We know that she is going to absolutely kill it as she continues her journey in theater and in life.
