What does the name mean?!

Day Four of our Resolutions and were here to tell you how we came up with RKIVAL Legacy.

Our name is very important to us, here’s why.

RKIVAL Legacy: The name RKIVAL (ar-kiv-al) Legacy is rooted from the word “archives” (archive felt overused), however we decided to use a play on words. We used “R” to symbolize our roots. Roots of where we are coming from and where we are going. Archive is essentially the historical records and places that exist therefore documenting these “roots”. However, Legacy is a bit interesting, as any artist, a common thought in our minds is who we are as a creative or what our legacy may be. What’s going to be left of my photographic journey? Rkival Legacy. The moments that we hold dear are all the faces we’ve gotten to know and photography . The people who have allowed us into their homes or their hearts to give us the opportunity to photograph them will be our legacy. That's the story we want to tell.
